Italy's harmonized inflation slowed to 2.4 percent in January, in line with flash estimate, from 2.6 percent in December. Inflation based on the consumer price index came in at 2.2 percent, down from 2.3 percent a month ago. On a monthly basis, the harmonized index of consumer prices declined 2 percent, while consumer prices were up 0.2 percent. Inflation figures for January matched preliminary estimate published on February 5.
